Having dated dozens of women in my years and having been with the same women for over 10 years my experience has taught me that gift giving is one of the most important skills to master if you are dating women and hope to up your chances of success in the endeavor. It's a skill that will benefit you as much as her.
If you're not very good at gift giving and what you do give provides disappoint for your girlfriend, that obviously is working against you. The lady I'm with right now, to this day, complains about some of the gifts her ex-husband gave her! That tells me something.
Sometimes these gifts, as a man, may seem a little cheesy or aren't gifts you would tell your buddies you got for her, but they'll go a long way in improving your relationship and sparking the romance with that special lady in your life.
The best romantic gifts are those that you personalize. Not only the gift itself, but in how you present the gift. Maybe you write a little note that you provide with the gift, a poem or you give her the gift in a special location. It could be something that might have special meaning or significance; something that brings back precious memories you've had together.
It does not have to be expensive. You know the saying, "It's the thought that counts"? I've literally had romantic gifts for my girlfriend I'd given that only cost a few dollars or nothing that got a better response than gifts that I had spent hundreds of dollars on.
