Just because people grow up and get married or are in committed relationships doesn't mean that the fun has to end! Guys in particular love to play around with their kid's toys, tools and the latest electronic gadget. Yet women like to have fun, too! Sometimes couples get so wrapped up in the routine of daily life and responsibility that it's easy to forget how wonderful it is to have fun and even be a bit silly. Using romantic gifts to bring out the fun and playful side in your partner is a powerful way to renew and revitalize any relationship.

In order to be able to give fun romantic gifts, you have to be able to let go and have a little bit of fun, too. Embrace your inner child and get ready to clown around a bit. You don't have to start giving romantic gifts right off the bat. You and your partner can warm up to letting go by doing some fun things together. Buy a couple of bottles of bubbles, sit outside and blow bubbles together. Get out a board game and play. Make and fly a kite together. Lie on the grass and challenge each other to find the best cloud formations. Throw a baseball or Frisbee back and forth. Tell silly jokes or read a book of jokes aloud to each other. Of course, you don't have to do all of these things in one day. Spread them out so that you both get comfortable with having a bit of fun romance together.

Once you're warmed up a bit, buy a box of crayons and write a note to your partner. Don't write as an adult, though. Put the crayon in the hand you don't typically write with and write a note as if you were in elementary school. Keep it short and simple like a child would. "I like you" and "you have pretty hair" are great, simple phrases a child might put down on an innocent, childish love note. Fold the note and "pass" it on to your partner as you walk by or stuff it in their wallet or purse.

Don't underestimate the power of simple toys. Both men and women love toys regardless of their ages. Get him a top or a wind-up toy. Anything that is remote controlled is a good idea for a guy. Get her a Barbie doll along with clothes and accessories. If he or she gets nostalgic about a particular toy from their childhood, locate it and give it to them! You can find almost anything in online stores or auction websites.

Never underestimate the power of playing and having fun. When life becomes especially stressful and busy, it is more important than ever to take a few minutes to have fun and unwind. When you keep fun romantic gifts in mind and in the house, you can always be prepared for when you need something special for your partner. Romance and fun work together for amazing results!
